GYM NEWS

MEMBERS & GYM GUEST RULES

1. Maximum number of guests is two (2) per household.
2. Members must remain with their guests at all times.
3. Members are fully responsible for their guests at all times.
4. Members are fully responsible for their children in the clubhouse at all times.
5. Members and guests, who have not completed all health and liability forms prior to gym use and submitted them to the administrative office, are prohibited from using the gym.

Health & Liability forms are located in the lounge.

FITNESS TRAINER RULES

1. Fitness trainers may train Rio Vista residents ONLY.
2. All fitness trainers must complete the health forms located in the lounge prior to using the gym. Submit forms to the administrative office.
3. Fitness trainers should submit a copy of their liability insurance forms to the administrative office.
PERSONAL GYM EQUIPMENT USE
As advised by the Associations insurance agent, privately owned gym equipment is not allowed in the clubhouse gym.
Only use gym equipment provided.

YOGA

Yoga classes are now being offered exclusively for Rio Vista residents on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the clubhouse. Classes are $15 per session. Bring a Yoga mat, water and wear comfortable clothing. Join us for invigorating Yoga sessions and discover inner peace. Everyone is invited! It’s Yoga practice, not Yoga perfect! CRICKET CLUB

It's time to start a casual Cricket Club in Rio Vista. Cricket, started in England, is now played in many countries. The suggestion is to have a casual game over the weekend (say Sunday afternoon). While the official game involves 11 players on each team, the game can be played between two teams of 5-6 people each. The safest way to play the game on most parks is using a tennis ball and a cricket bat. Four wickets would be required to start with. All of that can easily be arranged if there is enough interest. If you would like to unleash the cricketer inside or are interested in just knowing about the game, please contact Vishal at vishgoel@gmail.com. All ages/sexes/expertise invited.

There have been inquiries and if enough people are interested in getting this going, it can happen.

ELECTRONIC ENTRY FOR CLUBHOUSE IS HERE!!!

Obtain your electronic entry key for the clubhouse at the administrative office on Tuesday through Friday, noon to 2 p.m. If these hours are inconvenient, please call the office at 201-760-1258 for an appointment to pick up your key.

There is a $10 charge for the key. Although hours of usage for the clubhouse will be 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, the last entry will be at 10:30 p.m. Therefore, in order to avoid triggering the security alarm system, it is strongly advised that members exit the clubhouse no later than 11 p.m.

Additional information and guidelines for electronic entry usage will be available when you pick up your key.

CLUBHOUSE RENTALS

Planning a wedding or a graduation party? The beautiful upstairs party room in the clubhouse is available for rental for current members of the Association. (The downstairs clubhouse is no longer available for rental.) Nonmembers of the Association are eligible to rent providing that they are sponsored by a member. A sponsoring member should be aware that sponsorship involves various responsibilities. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that a member serve as a sponsor only for close friends & family.
If you wish to rent the upstairs room, an application, along with the required deposit, should be submitted to the administrative office as soon as possible. It is the Board of Trustees who makes the final decision regarding the formal approval of rental applications.

A special and deep felt thank you to Sheryn Liva for her hard work for the Garden Club. She planted a lot of flowers and thereby added to the beauty we all enjoy.
