POOL COMMITTEE

The Pool Committee members are Debbie Cantow, Gwen Frio and Tara Kornberger.

One of the Committee's roles will be to review bids for the Pool Maintenance Contract for the upcoming season. They will then make their recommendation to the Board of Trustees.

Thank you to Lois Blau, Adele Bruni, Joyce Feury, Carrie Figueredo and Mary Jane Weir for having served on the Pool Committee.

The wonderful and caring members of this committee are Teena Grant and Pat Longo, Collette Caesar and Carol Yakimik.

The WELCOME COMMITTEE traditionally has met and greeted individuals & families who are new to the Rio Vista Mahwah community. When they learned of a new resident, they visited with a small gift in hand.

Please call 201-760-1258 if you also want to volunteer to help. It's a great way to meet people in the development as well as welcome them to Rio Vista.

WANT SOME TLC???

A big thanks goes to all the families who cooked to celebrate or to console:  the Augustos, Herpsts, and Narangs.  TLC prepares meals for those in the neighborhood who have had a recent birth, illness, death or catastrophe in the immediate family.  Currently, 32 Rio Vista residents volunteer to prepare meals as TLCs.

Once the TLC member extends an invitation to a family and that family accepts our offer to receive meals, convenient drop-off arrangements and any dietary restrictions are discussed.  A family might receive as many as three meals during any given workweek.

Sue Augusto has been coordinating these efforts for over seven years helping families receive over one hundred meals.  Her compassion helped many at a time when it was needed and appreciated.  On behalf of all those who participated and all those who received, our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all of Sue’s efforts.  But now is the time to pass the baton.  Connie Sarkissian has taken over as chairperson for the Tender Loving Cooks.  She brings to her new task some good qualities; she is caring, capable and efficient.

If you would like to join our group or if you know of a family that would benefit from some TLC, please contact (201) 760-1258 so that the Tender Loving Cooks can continue to support our neighbors.
